Nena and Co. mini clutch

Old new stock from Nena and Co., never used, has accessory card inside still.

Cafe color full grain leather, cotton pom tassels at zipper pull, YKK zipper, red signature Nena cotton lining, rainbow colors in the huipil, including true black, lots of greens, bright orange, white, yellow. The clutch is new, as you can see in the photos. There are no signs of wear to the leather or tassels. However the huipil seems to be vintage, possibly embroidered decades ago.

Completely handmade in Guatemala, down to the vegetable dyeing of the threads, then hand embroidered onto the backstrap-woven cotton fabric. Typical farm/field pattern of Guatemala’s region of Almolonga, the Vegetable Basket of The Americas, full of natural colors of fruits, vegetables, and greens. (The pattern and colorstory is immediately visually recognizable to local people as specifically representing the people, culture, and history of Almolonga, Guatemala.)
